smokey13 3 Posted November 2, 2014 I need some help guys. Just designed a logo in AI, ctrl+A to select all, ctrl+C to copy logo. I then switch over to SBE and shift+insert to paste logo. I size the logo, click cutter button and preview the cut. Everything is jumbled up in the preview screen (i.e. text from top is at the bottom, text from middle is top and bottom). What in the world? I have been doing this same method for a few years now and havent had this problem. Any ideas? Im using AI CS5.1 if that matters. Thanks, Gary
Boom 7 Posted November 2, 2014 Hey man, I use Illustrator as well. I tried using SBE multiple times and ended up hating it. You can size all your stuff in Illustrator if you view the rulers. I believe there is a way to even type in the size you want the object to be, but I cant remember. Instead of using sign blazer elements I use Cutting master 3 with my Graphtec
pshawny 410 Posted November 2, 2014 Make sure all text is converted to curves and any strokes are outlined before copying it into SBE. If that doesn't work then save the AI file as an Illustrator 8 file type and import it into SBE by going to file>import.
smokey13 3 Posted November 7, 2014 Figured it out! Not a SBE issue. Compound path in AI fixed it! Thanks for the help! Gary
