Titan 2

Recommended Posts

Hey guys! New to this forum but figured I better go ahead and sign up so I can become more knowledgeable from you all... Plus it is great to have support after I start cutting!

So I was wondering you all's experience with how fine of detail the titan 2 can get down to? I have enough for that and not the Graphtec at this point (even though I would love one). I have been reading a bunch of threads here on this forum about the Titan 2 vs. the graphtec (yes I read the entire thing) and this is not what this thread is about speficically. I am just wanting to know how detailed I can get with the Titan 2.

I have heard that you can slow things way down to get more detail...?

A little about what I will be using it for... i will be using it to cut out stencils out of paint mask film that can then be applied to firearms and knives for camo patterns and such (I will air brush the paint on over them). The detail I need will be pretty intricate, here are some pics to give you ideas of what I am looking for (these aren't my pics)... so far, I have been having a friend cut them out on his laser etcher (which can be EXTREMELY detailed, it's just that I want to do everything in house). If I can't get extremely detailed that's ok, I will make do, but I do want to be able to get there for the most part.

wow... yeah that's pretty detailed! Thanks for posting dakota! it seems as if there is decent support in this community for the titan 2 among other cutters... I have absolutely zero experience with these but I figure I should be able to get on my feet pretty quickly w/ the help of youtube and this forum, what do you think?

The gun parts are much quicker to do with hydrographic film, it's not nearly as expensive as buying a cutter either. But have fun, you will find a ton of things you can do. B)

Are you sure you bought the Titan2 that you keep referencing? The Titan2 has a servo motor...Your not going to find a NEW cutter with a servo motor for $429.00

Only 1 I see on Ebay for that price is the regular Titan with stepper motor 15" for that price of $429.95 free ship.. There is a difference between a stepper motor and a servo motor in quality and cutting detailed graphics.
