lovemypies 0 Posted August 29, 2014 Hi everyone, I have been using a Cameo 12 inch cutter ( and a cricut prior) for just over 4 years. I do vinyl for cars, walls, and then heat transfer for shirts. I am considering upgrading to a larger cutter. I am curious how you go about doing stickers for cars etc. that are printed? What method is used for these? I saw some done for a firetruck in the gallery, and that is the type I am talking about. I would love to be able to do that style for my customers as well. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!Rachele
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted August 29, 2014 eco solvent printer - start at about $8500 for the 20", 30" is about $13K and goes up from there - add another $2K for cheap laminator and supplies,
mabscotthandyman 1,410 Posted August 29, 2014 And you need a printer/cutter or a cutter with contur cut the printer can put on crop marks that the cutter will detect and cut out leaving the margins that was set.
jarrotto 78 Posted August 31, 2014 Don't forget the Mutoh VJ628 24" Eco Sol for 7k. You would still need to upgrade to a 24" cuter as well for contour cuts, as well as another grand for the cheapest electric laminator.
