radgirl1 0 Posted April 3, 2008 I have a customer who is wanting some refrigerator magnets. I am a newbie and have not made any magnets. Can you get magnets that small or do I buy sheets and cut to size and how do you cut it if that's the case. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Stephanie
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted April 3, 2008 you should be able to buy something that small at any craft store, even the Dollar Tree if you have one near you. For refrig magnets you don;t need the heavy duty magnetic sheeting. You can even get some sizes magnets at Office Depot.
radgirl1 0 Posted April 3, 2008 Thanks John. Do you apply the vinyl in the same manner as everything else on the magnets? Sorry I know that question is a duh question but I want to make sure of what I'm doing. Or should I get the ink jet magnet? Thanks, Stephanie
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted April 3, 2008 If you can get the inkjet magnet, get it. For indoor use it is fine. I've used the waterproof inkjet paper myself and it really is waterproof once it dries. I did a coffee mug and the pic still looks great after many washings. I think all the inkjet magnets are is magnets with a top coat of inkjet paper.
