djque 246 Posted August 14, 2014 Ok this might been said before but I have not saw it. I take the blade holder and take the vinyl im cutting and put it against the vinyl like it would be cutting then adjust it. Then I set the pressure. It was easy this way. Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted August 14, 2014 this is skeeters quote - we thank her for posting it over and over again for the newbies that haven't searched the way to set the blade or have followed the very incorrect 1/2 credit car thing in way tooo many videosSkeeter says :To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing.
