MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted August 3, 2014 can you take a picture of your cutter screen and post it with that on it? Can you do anything on your cutter? Change any controls at all.? And what cutting software are you using? Make sure you are using the correct command for Graphtec software. GP-GL and any other cutting software other than a Graphtec language would be HP-GL. And you are Holding down the up arrow at the same time you are tuning on the power, correct?

slice&dice 2,450 Posted August 3, 2014 NOV-RAM is memory module (non-volatile RAM) -- A capacitor, integrated in the NOVRAM chip, supplies the energy for copying recent data from the also internallly integrated RAM to the ROM section during external power-loss situations. That capacitor apparently has fried (motherboard)

MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted August 3, 2014 I would give Graphtec tech support a call tomorrow... I hope your cutter is still under warranty.
knucklehead 530 Posted August 4, 2014 According to Graphtec, they only have support for 6000 series cutters now. Maybe, maybe not, won't cost anything to ask?

MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted April 10, 2019 Contact Graphtec tech support. They know all about those cutters. This is a user to user forum. The posts above told the OP to contact tech support. Ops never came back and said what the problems were. Hopefully your cutter is still under warranty, as you never stated what model it was.

aguilar 26 Posted September 2, 2019 Follow these steps to reset your Graphtec cutter to Factory Defaults. 1 Press and hold the UP arrow while powering on the cutter. 2 Release the arrow after a few seconds or when the cutter displays : 3 Press 1 for Default Settings 4 Press 1 for Set Default 5 Press 1 to Continue and the cutter will go back to factory defaults. The cutter will display the following screen for a few seconds, indicating that it has been reset to factory default settings. 6 Once the display returns to the Default Setting screen make the following changes: • Select #3 and set the Command to HP-GL. Press Enter to save the setting. • Select #4 and set the Length Unit to Inches. Press Enter to save the setting. After completing those steps turn the cutter off. Wait a second or two then power the cutter on as normal.
