Go-C Graphics 856 Posted July 31, 2014 Can someone explain to me why a racerback tank top is 3x's the cost of a t-shirt? This is from jiffyshirts. That's really going to hurt a current sale. I have no explanation why I have to charge her more for a tank top. Ouch.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted July 31, 2014 lower production quantities make it a specialty item that cost more per item to produce
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted July 31, 2014 Why is a 6 month tee basically the same price as an adult XL? I have to answer that 1 nearly every day and my answer is I don't set the price from the manufacturer all I do is sell them at a percentage markup. Never had anybody push the issue beyond that but 3X the price sucks.
MadHatterGraphix 1,258 Posted July 31, 2014 Its just like ladies lingerie the less there is the more it costs. The manufactures know we need clothing so something that is only available in summer is going to cost more, however 3X is crazy I would call or email jiffy and see if its a price error. jaybyrd 3,770 Posted July 31, 2014 $4.99 on sanmar but with the shipping for a small order it would eat up the price difference. http://www.companycasuals.com/jaysplace/b.jsp?id=9468945
jarrotto 78 Posted July 31, 2014 Have you checked out Next Level Apparel? You can order directly from them, or a distributor (If you have a state tax id). My distributor is cheaper than ordering direct, and has them for about half the price of what jiffy is charging. But like Jay said, shipping will eat up the savings if your only ordering a few...
