gbjadyy 0 Posted July 28, 2014 hi all ive recently started my own car. light commercial and motorcycle garage but recently bought a cutter for my own signage and van signage but toying with possibly offering service to public one big problem for me right now is cost of software and in particular vehicle vectors inc motorcycles , ive spent out many thousands recently to equip my workshop for purpose of repairs as signage wasnt something originally intended or even thought of as part of the business so money is extremely tight with current outgoings until this new business picks up the feet to start walking. any idea where i might get decent vehicle outlines at sensible cost ?? i have no issue with the cost of the vehicle outlines at it retails price but right now even thats out my reach so trying to find something in the low end figures if anyone has any idea ? if not has anyone at least got a decent copy of a honda st1100 pan European as a vector as im struggling to find a good one anywhere in simple plain white with like you normally find in most vehicle outline graphics any help would be appreciated thanks all

dcbevins 340 Posted July 30, 2014 One thing you could do is just take a picture of the vehicle with a yard stick in the picture. Then with some adjusting of screen dpi and what not draw a yard stick to size, import your photo, and scale the image up to the yard stick. This can work also for other things like store front windows and such. Taken from this forum, (not sure if you need to create an account to get in): http://community.coreldraw.com/forums/p/38796/183687.aspx#183687 Also relevant: http://community.coreldraw.com/forums/p/38796/221079.aspx#221079 They discuss a macro in coreldraw to accomplish this. But it can be done by hand. Also, this is a good commercial vehicle template collection: http://www.unleash.com/ddw/vehicle-templates/ They offer some freebies if you sign up.
