tooler82 182 Posted July 22, 2014 I put rips on a unit patch and got the rips the size I wanted them. After that, I made a box the same size as the patch to mask the rips to the patch. When I try to contour cut, it wants to cut the square box around it I used to mask instead of the patch. How do I fix this? 890th EN BN Iron Claw.eps

tooler82 182 Posted July 22, 2014 That worked, but how did you do it? lol
30-284 86 Posted July 22, 2014 I brought it into Corel and ungrouped it all then removed the box and put a cut path to it. Donn
tooler82 182 Posted July 22, 2014 Cool. All I have at the moment is Flexisign.
30-284 86 Posted July 22, 2014 I'm sure the process would be the same. Just ungroup or break apart to get rid of the box. Donn
OWJones 1,981 Posted July 22, 2014 If you have something that is just raster based, like a bitmap, JPG, etc., you can import that into CorelDraw and then use the trace option to convert it to vector (it will look crappy, but that's OK) and then select all the vectors that the trace created and add a Boundary (Arrange > Shaping > Boundary) and then delete all the vectors except for the boundary and voila, a perfect cuttable line around your raster artwork. This works best if you've already clipped out the background, obviously.
30-284 86 Posted July 23, 2014 That should work for all of the outside cut path but when you need some inside paths then you still have some work to do. Donn
