First Large Vehicle Project....

Recommended Posts

Impressive, looks great.  As for the design/colors, if the customer is happy then that's all you need to worry about!

I quoted them $350 a side so $700 a truck, for 2 trucks that's $1400. I got a $400 down payment and then I got another $700 for the first truck and should get the final $300 for when I finish this one.

The second truck is done and gone, got my last check for $300...for a total project income of $1400 (-minus about $300 for materials).

Had a little snag, for some reason when i did my material calculations, i figured 2 rolls of Purple, 1 roll of black, and 1 roll of grey.

Well i used about half of the black, i ran short of the grey and had to use a few small pieces of 651 for some of the stripes, and i didnt even touch the second roll of purple... (scratch my head)

What is the shelf life of this 751? I don't see myself using this purple anytime soon...if it has a short shelf life i may need to sell it..

Anyway, to wrap things up, the customer was happy, i made a nice chunk of $$ and i learned alot on this project!

Cool 2 yr shelf life.

Yeah some of the money will go into more vinyl supplies and shirts and htv, but most of the money is gonna be saved for a deposit on a store/shop/office eventually.

The wife wants to start trying for a baby next month so once she gets pregnant I really gotta start looking for a space cuz my current office room will become the baby room. So I will have 9 months to save and find a space.

That sounds like a good plan Gcextreme. I remember from reading some of your posts before you had found some pretty affordable shops in your area. The lack of commercial retail spaces in my area has held me back.

What is available is always extremely overpriced, very run down, or both. That's the pitfall of living in the touristy mountains of North Carolina.

Yeah theres tons of places...alot of brand new buildings with spaces but have been empty forever..overpriced.

Alot of old places too, run down and still over priced.

All the stuff thats nice and affordable doesnt seem to fit my needs or are way off and hidden with no traffic.

I was in those touristy mountains a couple times last month and they were the occasional place reasonable that wasn't falling down but they are rare.
