Thefreak 0 Posted June 5, 2014 hello team this is Haze. i have an MH-721 S/N: 1305348Problem Description:===================-MH-721 was working.-suddenly it stopped appearing in my device manager in windows xp.-Tried to format my PC and re-install the USB driver but the MH-721 will not appear as a new installed device.-tried different usb cables still its not recognized.-tried different machines still no luck.do you have any further methods to troubleshoot this issue , im suspecting here a hardware failure on the USB board as we also tried to connect on COM port but no luck. im not getting the window pop for new detected hardware , this is getting really frustrated and lack of links for driver downloads is getting me pissed off. BannerJohn 1,324 Posted June 5, 2014 IT's been awhile but I don't remember a pop up when connected via serial. It's just there. Set it to com port with the right drivers and see if it cuts
Thefreak 0 Posted June 5, 2014 Im sorry if this is going to sound a bit direct , but i dont think you got my problem detail. the device is connected through usb , according to installation guide an di read everything on the links provided in the MH installation procedure nothing helped me.what im talking about is the popup you get when you insert the USB device , im not getting this and the cutter is not showing in the device manager. i can provide screen shot for that. i installed ftdi driver , usb driver and the inf driver that was provided on the site is useless since the device does not show up in the first place so i can direct it to that inf. i find this device's software installation to be hardest driver i ever dealt with in my computer carieer since 1998 . darcshadow 1,625 Posted June 5, 2014 I think he did get your problem. You stated you tried the comm port and the post kind of indicated you were expecting a pop up window which will not happen with a comm port.

Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted June 6, 2014 depending on where you purchased it in Amman,Jordan it could have a different chipset than we are used to dealing with in the USA . . . just a thought
