constricted 27 Posted May 8, 2014 So I just received a new cutting strip for my TC.. I know I have to remove the old strip and clean off all the old adhesive so the new strip will seat nicely..Now my question is how do I secure the new strip down? I don't see any kind of tape or adhesive on either side of the new strip?
slice&dice 2,450 Posted May 8, 2014 Use carpet-tape (or any strong double-sided tape, like banner-hem tape)
constricted 27 Posted May 9, 2014 cool, so this stuff should work ok for me ? http://www.homedepot.com/p/Roberts-Indoor-or-Outdoor-15-ft-Double-Sided-Carpet-Tape-Roll-50-605-12/204470902?quantity=1&str_nbr=0983
skarekrow 1,842 Posted May 9, 2014 That stuff is pretty thick... could throw things off. Are you sure there is no adhesive strip on the back of your new one? I just received one for my Graphtec and its peel and stick.

constricted 27 Posted May 9, 2014 last night i tried peeling away at the end and nothing was coming loose so i don't think theres anything on there.. both sides felt and looked the same.. i'll try it again tonight when i get home from work i've got a few orders waiting to go out, as i don't want to send out jobs with wavy cuts.. that's why i was looking into the carpet tape so i could pick it up tonight after work.. i guess i'll have to order some banner hem tape and have shipping expedited
slice&dice 2,450 Posted May 9, 2014 At Home Depot, you can obtain the Duck brand carpet tape as illustrated. It's very strong and not too thick. Trim to fit.
