AAndrews19 53 Posted April 8, 2014 Completely new to sublimation. Just got a Ricoh SG3110, but need some help improving my prints. The prints aren't very crisp or colorful. Printer setup is a weakness of mine lol!
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted April 8, 2014 did you install the Powerdriver to print from? http://www.sawgrassink.com/v.php?pg=3963
Dawn's Design 403 Posted April 8, 2014 On the paper they will look dull . When you apply they will look better.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 8, 2014 With sawgrass inks the power driver is the best tool, after that temp and time are critical. Too little and weak image, too much and the detail gets muddy with over sublimation. Check your press temps. Depending on substrates other tools might be needed like the green pad for glass and sublislate , nomax pad for ceramics
AAndrews19 53 Posted April 9, 2014 Thanks guys. Will install the power driver. Recommendations for temp and time for certain substrates?
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 9, 2014 usually the place you get the substrate from will tell you that - but a search will give you some general times - heck event he same item from different places may vary some
