I Need Help With A EH-721

Hello I need Some Help I have eh-721 or a eh-720? ive seen it called both

and i have linked with a com cable to com port 1 on my

shuttle xpc with a p4 2.66 ghz cpu 2gb drr ram and i have tryed

signcut pro, signblazer, artcut, cocut,

all have the results nothing just nothing

i tell it cut progres bar fills up but the cutter stays the same :blink:

any help would be much appreciate

if you need any more info let me know :lol:

And you have the com port set correctly in each of those cutting software as well, I imagine?

Could be a bad cord... Could be the driver. Com port 1? No conflicts there, I guess? Seems odd to use that address.

Ok After Reading The pdf from dakotagrafx i think i know whats wrong but i still need some help to fix it in the pdf it says to set HOME or ORIGIN But i dont know to when i turn on my cutter the head moves all the way to the right hit the red buttton also i have no lcd screen on my cutter and my control panel is not like the one shown in the pdf i can post a vid of my cutter turning on and,or my control panel if need be :rolleyes:

ok ive been playing around with my cutter a bit more and if i have the head in the middle and turn on the cutter it moves to the right hits the red button

but now if i push option button i can move the head and rollers with the arrows if i then push setup and the origin button it stays were i left it but i still cant cut so i think its not online? but i dont have an lcd so i cant tell

What type of file are you using to cut? Can you try getting a vector from this site someone has posted and see if it cuts that?

Have you ever cut successfully with this?  I am assuming you're using the correct driver and not one 'similar' to it?

What exactly is your "com cable"? It must be a null-modem serial cable.

I'm not clear whether you are running off a serial cable or USB...

Whichever it is, you need to try the other.

 

Are you plugged into a USB port on your computer?

What does the other end of the cable look like?

A null-modem DB9 serial RS-232 cable is a special type that allows your cutter to communicate properly with the computer.

 

Sometimes the cable plug itself will feature the "N/M" imprint, but not always.

The big auction site offers them for sale under $5.
