skarekrow 1,842 Posted April 5, 2014 And you have the com port set correctly in each of those cutting software as well, I imagine? Could be a bad cord... Could be the driver. Com port 1? No conflicts there, I guess? Seems odd to use that address. I wish I could be more helpful.

slice&dice 2,450 Posted April 24, 2014 What exactly is your "com cable"? It must be a null-modem serial cable.
Rikky Sharkz 0 Posted April 25, 2014 im sorry i dont know what a null-modem serial cable is or how to tell if i have one
skarekrow 1,842 Posted April 25, 2014 I'm not clear whether you are running off a serial cable or USB... Whichever it is, you need to try the other. Are you plugged into a USB port on your computer? What does the other end of the cable look like?
skarekrow 1,842 Posted April 28, 2014 Try a USB connection.
Rikky Sharkz 0 Posted April 28, 2014 ok i will try that

slice&dice 2,450 Posted May 8, 2014 A null-modem DB9 serial RS-232 cable is a special type that allows your cutter to communicate properly with the computer. Sometimes the cable plug itself will feature the "N/M" imprint, but not always. The big auction site offers them for sale under $5.
