Moody Blue 505 Posted March 29, 2014 Wanted to show off some new decals I am now doing for "F15DY BOYS"...a truck group I am a part of on Facebook that has about 7,000 members. The logos are some new designs I created to mimic the Ford Raptor logo. Also a few other photos of some other Raptor style logos I have been doing for members of the group as well and the actual Raptor logo for those who aren't familiar with it.

express2100 154 Posted March 30, 2014 Nice work! How exactly are you doing the oval emblems? The front one on my '05 is flaking off.
kauffman21 32 Posted March 30, 2014 is that a font or is it custom?
Moody Blue 505 Posted March 30, 2014 is that a font or is it custom? Its a font manipulation I created. I used Bolster Regular as the base and then stretched the letters and added the slashes and outline to complete the look.
Moody Blue 505 Posted March 30, 2014 Nice work! How exactly are you doing the oval emblems? The front one on my '05 is flaking off. I just took the measurements of the height/width of the blue portion of the oval and make a 2 layer decal from that. A bottom "oval" with the text over the top. The black few I showed we painted the emblem or sprayed with Plastidip then apply the overlay over that to look like a full custom emblem. Some of the 05 trucks have flat emblems with a beveled area so its easy to get it perfect, but others are curved and will require you to compensate for that with the vinyl and make the oval a bit larger (less than .25") all the way around to fit nicely. I did mine in Oracle 196 Night Blue Metallic to match the Blue Flame Metallic paint of my 09. Another thing that comes in handy with doing truck decals is I went to my local dealership and got a few paint swatch books so I can match the paint closely if not exact. Heres everything I did on my truck.
