New Inkjet Printer....

Recommended Posts

Ok was at walmart and in the craft sextion they have these tranfer sheets to print on and the heat transfer to shirts.

Well i have an inkjet printer/scanner combo..but its over a year old and needs nee ink.

Just black replacement for it it $51!! I paid only $40 for the whole printer!

Anyway..looking at newer wireless/wifi ones for only $59 and replacement inks for it are only $25.

So i bought it...

Now when i print my design on this transfer paper im guessing i will need to use my Graphtecs contour cutting ability? I have no clue on how to do that?

you could use it to contour cut only for dark tshirts. but any of that Walmart brand, avery tshirt transfer stuff doesn't last as long as JPSS, or 3G Opaque. If you want a good transfer to offer those are them, however you need an Epson printer due to most of their inks or Pigment and are water proof.

Make sure the new printer has pigment based ink also . . . If dye the ink may not last as long as the Avery transfer does lol

Epson uses DURABrite Ultra Pigment as factory, so you have pigment ink.

I just bought a new ricoh 3110 and left it a ink jet instead of sublimation. Does it use pigment ink or no I don't see it on the ink cartridge any where.

Run the maintenance on it. Clean, and print test patern.

Repeat as needed.

There is better paper than what you get at walmart. You will notice the difference and if your selling them your customers will to,
