Wildgoose thanks for replay, yes I'm using easy weed. I'll check out the  infra-red thermometer gun. Is there a rule of thumb of the thickness your pressing onto?

Doesn't make much difference as long as you can get a good even pressure across the whole area. Some of the presses have a max thickness that they can deal with but for garments you won't have any problems.

Nothing more annoying that not flipping and noticing when its too late... did it many times at first, but the post it note on the machine fixed that!

Wait until you're in a rush and don't notice it until you open the press  :blink: .

don't forget when you use the carrier sheet - I use the cricut one since I still use my Expression ( big cricut)- it is thicker than running thru without so I had to adjust my blade depth and pressure.
