bukuinc 0 Posted February 10, 2014 Does anybody have any idea what type of material these are made out of? It is supposedly rubbery, and bonds perminently or semi-perminently to the tire. Any help is greatly appreciated! Here's a video showing the install:

RustyXj 8 Posted July 28, 2016 I know this is a 2 year old post but I too would be interested if anyone knows what material is used? I have a few guys asking me to make them since they charge like $30 per word for a set of 4.
dwp99 283 Posted July 29, 2016 I tried Oracal 951 back in February of 2014 after finding this post and they are still on the bike. I have noticed that they have started to crack a little.
Jburns 239 Posted July 29, 2016 Wow- two years seems pretty good for a material in that environment. i think its a really thin material - almost like a foil of some sort.
Go-C Graphics 856 Posted July 29, 2016 The tire decals I've installed are thick and cut out of rubber. You basically superglue them to the tire.

Two years is ok, but how many miles were put on it? I've never had a sport bike tire last two years, at least not a rear tire anyway.
djque 246 Posted August 10, 2016 When I was sponsored by Michelin I always got them free. there nothing but a printable clear decal. you just clean the tire and rub it on like he did. I use to have hundreds of them. they give them to all there sponsor riders. or you can get some from a supercross or motorcross national race. just talk to the guy changing the tire and try to start a convo with him. as he's changing the tire there usually in the tool box right buy it. ask when there is no other people around and hell slide you a few. or just say he my son is sponsored thru you guys and he didnt get not tire decal in his package and he will slide you about 20. 10 sets. this was a few of my pitbikes we raced at the supercross and what got me sponsored thru them lol. everyone that knows the last supercross this was monster alley we got to hit the ski jump wide open landing about 60 feet.we had a minimotoSX race at the orleans casino in vegas thursday and the friday was the mains. these bikes we $10k Plus easy.

Wildgoose 4,200 Posted August 10, 2016 Had no idea you were a racer dj! Sweet man!. I was never all that great but fellow rider here. I was about mid pack in the vet intermediate class. I didn't race when I was a kid but have ridden most of my life. Finally after a bad get-off and 80K hospital bill I decided to give it up. Old bones don't bend and you know, diggers are just a fact of life unless you're riding like grandma.
