GraphxNMore 282 Posted November 27, 2013 I have a neoprene poker hoody that stretches onto your dining table. It's 3mm or 3.5mm thick. Has anyone ever done heat transfer onto this material? I was wondering if the heat might damage the material. I also wonder about the process of transferring it, would a regular iron work? The hoody is so bulky it would be hard to get it in a typical press.
HybridThread 14 Posted November 28, 2013 I have never heat transferred on neoprene but it can withstand high temps (don't go over 400 F). I have heard polyurethane transfers work well. Although the golden rule here is test, test, test. Some neoprene has other materials that don't like heat much (nylon for one) so make sure your material is suitable. I wouldn't use an iron either on this. Figure out how to get in on the heat press or try to find someone who has a larger one. Best wishes and throw some pics up when you're done if you can.
