gcextreme 475 Posted November 16, 2013 Yeah i still cant figure out how to keep it from hitting the hat when i swing it into position..wtf..
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted November 16, 2013 How much pressure does it take to clamp the hat? It may just be cranked down too tight on the adjustment which would make it hit when swinging over the hat.
MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted November 16, 2013 You might consider this, watch the 2nd part of this video. when talking about his cap press, Smart guy.
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted November 16, 2013 The center knob in the back that fine tunes the pressure does so by raising and lowering the heating element relative to the platen so if it is turned to tight the heating element will be too low to clear the hat when swinging. My is a different brand but the exact same setup and I had the same problem when I got it.

gcextreme 475 Posted November 18, 2013 i may have to try that drawer slide idea....but that kinda defeats the purpose of the swing-away part...lol anyway i tested it out on the back of the hats..

galaxygraphics 26 Posted December 7, 2013 I would suggest that SP would be Set Point, AL1 might be Alarm 1and AL2 might be Alarm 2 (like for pre heat, and final temp point). I don't know, but that is just a suggestion! Good luck!!!
