jck 0 Posted September 24, 2013 Hello All, I have the Copam CP-2500 and am cutting with WinPCSig. I have an issue of my design not cutting all the way through but only in one certain spot. It'll cut perfect then it reaches this area and I can see where the blade cut but it just didn't go all of the way through. Does anyone know why this would happen? Again, perfect cut in all other placed but this spot and it does not matter what the design/text is that I'm cutting. Unfortunately it's pretty much in the middle of the entire cut area so I can move the vinyl around to avoid the spot. Any help would be appricaited!!! jck 0 Posted September 24, 2013 When I run my finger over it I feel a slight bump....
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted September 24, 2013 bump or drop? shouldn't have bumps or grooves - should be perfectly smooth
jck 0 Posted September 24, 2013 It's a bump for sure but now that I'm looking at it there are other areas along the strip than have some drops, NOT smooth all the way across! Is this something I can fix on my own or do I need to contact US Cutter?
slice&dice 2,450 Posted September 24, 2013 Sometimes cutting strips can be turned around 180* which places an undamaged clean section under the blade path, and hopefully this will resolve the problem. Peel it up (it's just adhered with sticky tape) and rotate it (right to left, left to right) Worse case scenario, order another one, they aren't too expensive -- under $20.
