Shipping a 15X15 decal

Recommended Posts

I just received an online order for a decal that is 15 inches by 15 inches....Didnt realize until after completing the order that I didnt have anything to mail something that large.

I have looked online but cannot find anything with both sides that large. Any suggestions??

Tube is only way to go. Also roll it so tape is out. Will help with installing it and it not trying to roll back up on them. Trick I learned as a residential architect with drawings.

I know they weigh more but I just use old vinyl tubes tape the ends shut. If they damage one of those tubes in transit then nothing will survive.

I have some Tyvek 16" x 24" Priority Mail envelopes that I will use. I got them from the local post office free. I put a piece of cardboard in with it.

In a pinch I've used two pieces of cardboard taped together to mail some larger graphics.

Yeah but they want to charge me 11 bucks for shipping....I was able to get 50 tubes from Amazon for 19.99 and free 2 day shipping...Uline is great for boxes...but only if you can pick them up or order in EXTREMELY large qtys to make shipping worth it

I have the boxes/with shipping figured into my graphics prices when I price them to customers. That is part of the price.  I do RTA only, by mail order.   These boxes are also heavy duty  boxes.

Yea tubes,

Or like the proiroty mail ones that are triangle, i have taped 3  pieces of cardboard togather into a triangle, and mailed them that way also.

the post office wont complain much on what you use to ship it as long as it can handle the shipping and handling of there people and machines.

i did tho just get a complaint from the usps, when i was putting  shipping labels on my tubes, i was putting them up and down with the tube, which the machine readers cant read them that way, so they said to put the labels on around with the tube.

Another alternative it to not expand your box and ship it flat with the decal inside.

Looks like they used it for a wheel chock and then forgot it was there and ran it over.
