Help! vinyl express r series2 31.

I have a r31 vinyl express that I just bought new.  I got everything hooked up and works fine but...the cutting arm does not go up and down at all.  I've looked into some trouble shooting that says too adjust screws to free up the magnet but my cutting head looks totally diff then what they show.  Any ideas/help would be great! Thanks.
