Make Your Own Graphics!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I am new to this whole thing but I found an easy way to create your own custom graphics! There may be an easier way but here is how I did it.

1. First I drew a hand holding a broken chevy logo with a Sharpie Pen on a piece of paper.

2. Scanned the drawing into adobe photoshop. In photoshop I applied a black color overlay to get a perfect black image.

3. Next I coppied and mirrored the hand I drew so that I had two of them.

4. Inserted the Dodge Ram logo and placed the hands on each side of the head.

5. Merged all visible layers, and saved in .bmp format.

6. Opened my .bmp format in Inkscape, clicked trace bitmap, then ok. Delete the bitmap.

7. Save in .eps and you are ready for the cutter! Easy as that!

Hope this might help some of the new guys like my self who might want to create or draw their own graphics.

Very cool! I always wished I had the talent to draw. I'm not sure but I think people with this talent are born this way, can draw when they are old enough to hold a crayon...lol. I dont think I could "learn" how and if I could it would take me hours and many erasers to draw a simple graphic!!

I'm envious of those that can draw thats for sure!

Nice job,

I just saw a shark today with the ford logo on the dorsal fin eating a chevy bowtie today on a truck.  I just laughed!  Never saw that one before!
