signcut x2 crashes on import!

Recommended Posts

so with vinyl cutter finally working for 4days, sign cut is now crashing.

the program opens fine, i hit import and it crashes. i have tried re-installing, updating(which attempts to install but fails because of an error and asks me to try again later). the odd thing is that i am not doing anything differently from when yesterday when i cut about 40 stickers.

anyone have any ideas?

thanks.

Instead of Importing, just use File, Open, and point to your .eps or .ai file.

It might help to have specifics on your OS, is it 10.4.xx or 10.5.X?  Illustrator CS, CS2, or CS3?  Adobe tends to update itself in the background sometimes... COuld that have happened? Did you do an OS update?

This type of issue usually occurs when there is a file problem, please make sure your last file sent to the signcut import folder was a straight vector file with no rastor images in it.
