Are you positive that your blade depth is set correctly for the vinyl you are cutting?

To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing.

exactly what skeeter said was the first thought - and add a drop of oil in your holder, looking for small vinyl bits before you set the blade depth.  lastly how is your cut strip condition?

is there any movement on this thread? i am experiencing the same thing. it only happens on the longer vertical cuts. makes weeding a nightmare. my depth is fine otherwise, my strip and blade are brand new. this is happening in both sure cuts a lot and signlab. any insight would be helpful.
