I just got sent a board from USCutter and they said/ promised it would fix it, I just installed it and it still does not lift the blade arm. Is there any more troubleshooting I can do to see what the problem is. The machine is a refurbished one and has gave me no problem until now. I am under warranty but I don't know what else to do...

Box it up go into US Cutter support site and submit a warranty ticket, most likely they will issue you an RMA,(Return Merchandise Authorization), print out the return shipping label you then take it boxed up to local FedX and send back for repair or replacement.

Warranty

If your machine needs warranty service (within the warranty term), buyer will be required to pay for shipping in both directions. In many cases, we can minimize the shipping cost by offering parts replacement options. We also offer flat rate return labels at $35.00 for larger items. If you need a replacement machine or part sent in advance, you will be required to pay a deposit for the part and you will have 30 days to return the original part or product in new condition

If you it back you pay both ways and can figure on $70 round trip

C. REPLACEMENT UNDER WARRANTY - Customer has used/possessed the machine within the warranty period and had an issue that is not resolve-able over the phone:

  • Customer will pay $35.00 for a return label and will drop the equipment off at a FedEx location in good condition and with care. This does NOT apply to items that must be shipped freight because they are too big to ship via FedEx.
  • With confirmation of shipment in the form of a tracking number, we will send out a "Certified" (refurbished) machine of the exact same model.
  • Customers dis-satisfied with receiving a certified machine replacement shipped immediately to them, can opt to receive their original machine repaired within a 4 week window - no guaranteed date.
  • No restocking fee will be assessed.
  • Important to note: Warranty for replacement starts and ends based on original FedEx delivery date and does not extend.
  • Important to note: Creation Pcut/LaserPoint Carriage Back Plate replacement should trigger an automatic Warranty replacement - do not send parts and have the customer attempt repair.
  • International: The international warranty is the exact same as the warranty in the United States, but the customer is responsible for all of the shipping.

Appears I was wrong on the 2 way ship but still have to pay $35 to send it back.

Had the same problem.  What was causing the problem was a screw dislodged from the electro magnet and wedged itself under the flap which lifts the blade up.  Remove the four screws attaching the cover plate to the electro magnet housing.  Looking from the top down you will see the black arm which lifts the blade.  Manually move the arm up and down and you will see how it operates under the cover.  Now, from eye level, check the space between the plastic arm and the top of the magnet.  I found a screw lodged there.  It is an M 2.5 machine screw maybe a quarter inch long or less.  One of mine dislodged twice requiring retrieval and replacment.  I now have one missing out of four that I cannot locate.  Do not use a regular M 2.5 machine screw as it is magnetic and the blade will not lift properly is used.
