Intuit credit card processing

Recommended Posts

Anyone her use intuit to process their cc transactions? I've been on hold for 32 minutes and counting trying to close my account. Just a heads up about customer service with them. Oh and the only way to close the acct is to call them on the phone. Can't wait until somebody does answer cause I may blow a gasket.

Sorry, nope.  I use Square Register for the few times I have accepted a credit card and have had zero problems so far, but I haven't had enought transactions to really recommend them.  I just liked not having to buy any equipment or pay any monthly fees.

Went to square, that's why I was calling intuit to cancel. I was on hold for 45 minutes waiting for a "customer retention specialist". Guess what she didn't retain me. As for the square reader I'm liking it except it seems awful fussy about what cards it will read without manually keying in.

I have 2 different square readers and never had one card that didn't swipe. Call them and I bet they will send you out another (they will send as many as you want actually)

Never the got the first one they sent. tracking showed it NC for a week and I finally went to walmart and picked 1 up for $10. Inside is a redemption code for $10 through square so it was still free. I've had 3 cards in a row i needed to swipe 5 times to get them to read so I may just try to order another 1 form square. On a plus Intuit takes 3 days to post funds to you bank and Square is in the nect day.

That's what I think happened to me. The lady who finally answered was super nice but any company that puts you on hold for 45 minutes has issues to work out. Maybe it's a mass migration of their customers or something.

Im torn between the paypal one and the square. I know with the paypal one they send you a paypal credit card to use your money, so paypal holds your money. Where does the money from the square go? A debit card? A square account or a personal bank account?

Square is like a tradition cc processor straight to your account, just alot faster and no hidden b.s. at least that i've heard about. The reason I was trying to kill my intuit acct. so fast was that they emailed yesterday telling me there was going to be a $100 fee on my statement next month for annual security or some crap. I already had square was holding off on dropping intuit until I was sure I liked square but the email really pushed me over the edge.

Jay's Place,

The purpose of this email is to notify you that within your next billing statement in the miscellaneous fees section you will find a charge of $100.00 for the annual billing of the PCI Compliance Service.

As a merchant, you play an important role when it comes to safeguarding card information. For this reason the payment card industry requires that you satisfy some base level requirements regarding the safe handling and transmission of credit card data. To make this process easier for you, Intuit includes "PCI Services" as part of the services that you receive as an Intuit payments customer.

It goes on but if that doesn't make you want to switch to one of these new no fee services I don't know will. I got this email yesterday and had the phone in my hand in mere minutes to say goodbye to them.

The old style merchant services are gonna need to change with times or risk losing their small business customers to a more user friendly and efficient system.

i just opened up my business bank account and got a Square card reader, and signed up for the PayPal one too, that should be in the mail soon. I am waiting to confirm my bank account, but once i get it confirmed, i can take card transactions, and im assuming debit cards too right??

And ive used paypal before, tied to my personal bank account, and when u want the money thats in the paypal account u can just transfer it to your bank account, takes a day or two, or u can just request a card.

I requested and have the card.  I like being able to get to my money when I want it and not wait a day or two  >:D
