BETH DIAZ 0 Posted April 15, 2013 I JUST BOUGHT AN US CUTTER MH871-MK2 A MONTH AGO. I AM ADDICTED TO CREATING NEW DECALS BUT RECENTLY MY CUTTER WILL NOT CUT ALL IMAGES OUT COMPLETELY. I HAVE WIPED EVERYTHING DOWN WITH FABRIC SHEETS, REPLACED THE BLADE, PLACE A SMALL AMOUNT OF OIL IN THE HOLE FOR THE BLADE - WHAT ELSE COULD I DO? IF I PLACE SEVERAL IMAGES ACROSS TO CUT THE FULL 24" (AS SHOWN BELOW) - THE FARTHEST ONE TO THE RIGHT DOES NOT CUT CORRECTLY. BUT THE ONES TO THE LEFT CUT FINE - PLEASE HELP I AM WASTING A LOT OF VINYL. US CUTTER US CUTTER US CUTTER US CUTTER
bikemike 711 Posted April 15, 2013 Please stop yelling at us. Probably a combination of blade and pressure. I would say try a bit less blade and more pressure. Just a guess.
BETH DIAZ 0 Posted April 15, 2013 SORRY - Not Yelling - work program is in caps and I forget. What pressure would you suggest I set it on? Have you ever seen this happen before where it will cut fine on one side of the vinyl but not on the other? Thanks for the help
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted April 15, 2013 Make sure the carriage head wheels is in the track firmly....and the cutting strip is down all the way across also.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 16, 2013 left to right should cut the same so is the cutting strip damaged on one side?
bikemike 711 Posted April 16, 2013 Not sure what was causing it on my chinese cutter, but playing with blade (less) and pressure (more) I got it real close.
rdusigns 7 Posted April 19, 2013 I think your pinch wheel is set to far to right, look and see in this pic you will see a red dotted line, do not set pinch wheel to the right of this line you will also see a scratch line I put on mine to help me line up my vinyl square, once you get a peice tracking right as rain, scratch this line (or draw) on your platform down the side of that vinyl you will also notice on your cutter on the middle of upper carriage a white upside down U or something like this |---| dont set your picnch wheel in this area either
Monkey 252 Posted April 22, 2013 Every once in awhile this will happen to me. Like the other day I was cutting windshield decals and every so often the inside circle in one "O" would not cut completely around. Say out of 20 cut, 2 wouldn't cut all the way. Damnedest thing.
