WSMC633 0 Posted March 14, 2008 Hi, I've watched your tutorials and they seem very helpful. Except I'm using Illustrator CS3. I'm somewhat confused as to how to print registration marks for the Laserpoint to read. I know I can print registration marks via the adobe print dialog when sending to my printer, however how would that ever relate to signcut? This feature was the main reason why I went for the the laserpoint, so I would really like to figure out how to make it work. I'm on a mac running OS 10.5.2, Adobe Illustrator CS3 and SignCut 2.21. Cutter is connected on the serial Port via a Kespan USB to Serial adapter. Thanks!
wg_hans 0 Posted March 14, 2008 Hello, Have you opened the Example-files in Illustrator? , or you may also open the templates which includes registrationmarks. The location for those files are /Applications/SignCut/Examples/Simple_Contourcut/Illustrator I would recommend you to try to print out the example file, and follow the guide: http://www.sc-x2.com/files/pdf/setup_contourcutting.pdf Then when you get that to work, open up one of our templates and use as base for your contourcutting. The important part is that the registrationmarks needs to be included when the cutting-data is sent to SignCut-X2, therefore you can't use the printer-dialogue registrationmarks when printing.
