Best (economical) vinyl for walls

Recommended Posts

Greetings all,

Could anyone recommend an economical choice that won't leave to much residue on a bedroom wall? I don't care that much about the long term use as this is not for a customer but for my house.  ^-^

Thanks,

Paul

Make sure you use an appropriate application tape with Oracal 631 - they recommend using Oracal HT55 as it's made specifically to work with 631.  Most application tapes have a hard time adhering to matte surface vinyls, and when you find one that does, it has a hard time letting go when you install it.  HT55 makes it easy to get it off the release liner and get the tape off of the vinyl after it's in place.

I have used the Mactac 8900 and Oracal 631. 631 is STILL my go-to vinyl. Mactac DOES have a few colors that used to be not otherwise offered (Burgundy) but now Oracal has it. I like the Oracal better only because I can use my RLA R-tape transfer without any issues with it. The RLA Tape on mactac tends to want to peel horribly all by itself.

I have a 10yd roll of mactac 8900 burgundy if anyone wants it! 20$ plus cost of shipping- no more than 5$ or I will pay the rest.
