tammy h 6 Posted February 18, 2013 I need to buy some plotter paper. Do you have to use "kraft" paper like sold on US Cutter? I don't need 1100' but would like a larger size (40-48"). Anyway- will any plotter paper work or do I have to look for something specific?Tammy

Jay2703 704 Posted February 18, 2013 Pretty much any roll paper will work. Here you can get (2) 42" x 150' rolls for $75 http://www.wide-format-paper.com/ultrabright-inkjet-plotter-paper-inkjet-roll-20lb/
MZ SKEETER 4,708 Posted February 18, 2013 you can even order it from Walmart http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?_be_rerank.profile=itemdemotion.rerank&search_query=plotter+paper&ic=16_0&Find=Find&indexId=13cecb5e35ec&cdnHost=search-cdn.walmart.com&searchdropdowndiv=com.wm.module.305715.constraint&search_constraint=
arty-rc 719 Posted February 18, 2013 This might not help in this situation but when I go to the local Goodwill store I keep my eyes open for unpasted wall paper rolls. You just have to prefeed the roll with the back side up. I usually pay less than $2.00 per roll.
Ravenwind / One Off Grafx 187 Posted February 18, 2013 I get my rolls from the newspaper they have discarded rolls that will not work for a paper run so they toss them out. I have yet to run out of this roll I'm using.

tammy h 6 Posted February 19, 2013 Sorry I didn't explain more. I have a laserpoint II and the pen that came with it. I am just looking at being able to plot out a couple of things before I cut them as I started cutting and ran into problems. I think I have the file "fixed" but I'd like to be sure before I waste a lot of vinyl. Plus I've been asked to make some t-shirts and room decals. I figured the easiest way to show them the designs is to print it out on the laserpoint II. With SCAL I show an option to print to my inkjet but it never goes. Ravenwind / One Off Grafx 187 Posted February 19, 2013 You can also use plain paper or wax paper.
Ravenwind / One Off Grafx 187 Posted February 19, 2013 I use the poster board you can get at the store. Put a permanent marker in and plot away. The middle pic is vinyl.Doing it this way you can change up samples, or even size the customers decals to show them.
