carlc376 0 Posted January 22, 2013 I am still very new at vinyl cutting but am learning a lot from this forum. My question is this: I have seen that some applications can divide an image for cutting to make an image larger than the machine can cut in one pass, Is this possible with SCALP3? I have a 24" SC cutter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
mars 45 Posted January 23, 2013 what you are wanting to do is called tiling -- I don't think it is done yet - but in the topic below they say it is in the list to be an added feature. Read about in here. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?/topic/38363-scalp-tiling-tools/
Markk077 21 Posted January 23, 2013 Yes. But you still must have in your mind how you want the full thing to turn out.
carlc376 0 Posted January 26, 2013 Thank you for your input. I look forward to the future enhancements. I have a 24" cutter, and was just thinking about if I wanted to create a graphic that is larger than the machine. I have not had an actually need for this yet, but I was just thinking about possible business options.
Wildgoose 4,200 Posted January 30, 2013 I recently received response from the design team that they are still working on tiling and hope to have it out in the first half of 2013. So within 6 months hopefully we will see something. That is an important feature that is missing and I'm real glad they are planning on getting it going. They were understandably hesitant to commit to any certain date but I'm cool with waiting and it is definitely getting better with every update.
Rodger 527 Posted January 30, 2013 SignBlazer Elements is available thru USC & or this USC forum for free & has tiling . It is great to use for features it has that SCALPro does not ( as of yet ) even if you mainly use SCALPro .
