previous version compatibility issue with 3.039??

I did a couple designs for some friends with Sure Cuts A Lot when it was 3.036/3.037. Since then I have upgraded to 3.039. Tonight my friends asked if I could please cut another set of paint masks for them. Unfortunately when I tried cutting the design with 3.039 the project would open but it would not cut.

I tried resaving the project with a new name using 3.039 and then opening up that file and cutting. But it did not work. Again the project would open but it would not cut.

I finally redid the design over top of the current design I then deleted the old design of the cutting mat and resaved the project. When I opened the new project it cut just fine.

Has anyone else noted this issues? Luckily the designs I had were pretty simple and took about 30 minutes each to rebuild.
