Sue2 920 Posted August 17, 2012 Have been using SB for awhile now but last week when I went to open some saved SB files in SB there were no previews of the files and SB hung up. What happened? Anyone else have this problem? Do I need to re-install SB? Have I lost the preview thumbs forever?? Sue2
Dr12volt1338 116 Posted August 17, 2012 In the Open screen is the "Preview" box checked?
Sue2 920 Posted August 17, 2012 My version has a "No Preview" check box but that is not checked. When I select open only about 8 files have a preview and the rest have "No Preview", "File Size" and file name....but no thumbnail of the file.
Dr12volt1338 116 Posted August 17, 2012 Yes thats what the box should say. I wasn't at a computer that I had SB on and I couldn't remember....Have you tried to restart your computer? If that doesn't do it I would say maybe try to reinstall SB... I had an issue a while back where I wasn't allowed to save files over a certain size and once I reinstalled it was fine again... Sue2 920 Posted August 17, 2012 Of course I tried the Universal Computer Fix...restart. Just plain strange....I guess I'll have to re-install and hope. It's not unworkable, files from the file manager will open...but it's nice to see what's in the file before opening. I worry that I'll have to replace SB because it won't be able to deal with newer software. Like the newer eps files....the program will have more and more problems as time goes by unless it is upgraded. Sue2

Sue2 You always have to ask the obvious you'd be amazed at how many people will fight an issue for days and days without trying a restart.... I have heard they are working on an updated version of signblazer...... It has been a rumor for a while now.. It's just like any Windows system there are going to be glitches... You could have installed an update for Windows that corrupted a file in the SB somewhere who knows.... I hope it works for you.... If it doesn't then we know it is something within Windows if it showed all the previews before..

You may be onto something there...that computer is XP and I think I had to install Service Pack 3 a few weeks ago for a new printer. I'll have to look.
