34" sign from 24" vinyl? What's the best way to go about it.

Recommended Posts

I need to make a banner for someone. They want it 34" high. my cutter is a USCutter 34, but my vinyl is only 24". Wanted to order some 34" but can't get it in time.

So i will have to do it in 2 parts.. What would be the best way to go about it?

Thanks.

Either use tiling or if the text is less than 24" wide and you can break it up, rotate it and take advantage of the roll length.

Can you post an image of the banner. There could be many ways to do it depending on the image.

Here is the original. I still had it in an email. it will give you an idea.

I have it vectorized and ready to cut, but don't have access to that file from my real job.

I would probably do something like this leaving 1/4" overlap.:

If the banner is 34" high... you'll not want to run the graphic right to the edge. You NEED Negative SPACE.... the white area around the letters or image it what defines them. So if you cut the image at 24" that will leave 5" top and bottom as long as you leave about the same on the ends it should read well and look good.
