Okay, so far not impressed

Recommended Posts

I know buying economy equipment is a pig it a poke, however it should at least work right for a while.

I just unpacked a 15X15 economy press (auto open), plugged it in, set the heat to 185C and waited. 30 minutes later, the rubber pad is starting to come off and the temperature is a whopping 125F.

Is this typical, or should I just box it up and send it back?

Buy a Hix.... pay once, cry once... The only problem Ive had in 20 years is that the older I get the heavier it gets...

Hix,Stahls,Mighty Press (it`s a Stahls press)

Pay a bit more and never have a problem.

Been using a Stahls 15 X 15 for ten years still going strong.

Had a Hix 12 X 14 before that worked great.

Oh yeah...my Hotronics is on a nice heavy duty wheeled cart....

BUT, it's the closing the top that gets harder and harder every year!

 Is there a fix for that???

If its not due to human age it's called 3 & 1 oil on every moving piece...
