OWJones 1,981 Posted July 14, 2012 Are you accounting for the curvature/tapering of the hat in your design? I've not done any hats, but I know that when I cut stencils to sandblast a curved/tapered glass, then I have to account for the curvature/taper in the design by adding a bit of arc to it, else when I apply it to the glass it will look funny and not lay straight. Instead of being level, it will end up being too high on one end or the other. That's the first thing I thought of when I saw your issue.
mr300s 1,272 Posted July 14, 2012 I am thinking it might still be moving if you have it straight to begin with ? I have found that the tape just doesnt hold and usually comes loose, try some of the spray tack and see if that helps
