tgbvinyl 7 Posted March 31, 2012 I've only had this cutter for a week and it works fine on a 15yard roll of vinyl, but when I put a 50yard roll of orecal 651 White on it, 24 inches wide it doesn't pull the vinyl, the roller spins but the vinyl slips on it. Any suggestions? I am new to this!
mb20music 760 Posted March 31, 2012 You need to keep slack on the roll so that the cutter doesn't have to pull on the roll especially with a 50 yard roll, that is a lot of weight.
Rodger 527 Posted March 31, 2012 Always unroll more vinyl than you are cutting , that way the cutter doesn't have to pull the weight .
Dr12volt1338 116 Posted March 31, 2012 Agreed.... anytime I use my cutter I always "test" run the length of the vinyl through.. my machine will pull the 50 yard rolls but it causes a "skip" in the cut and I have to a start all over.
tgbvinyl 7 Posted March 31, 2012 Thanks! Thats what I started doing after I realized it wasn't pulling it in. I'll just keep doing that from now on.
