Looking for a Boss Mustang stripe like in the picture

Recommended Posts

I had a walk in customer yesterday and he wanted a Boss 302 mustang stripe for his Ford truck. I have a few stripes but nothing like that. I was wondering if anyone had the eps file for it as i dont want to have to buy a new cd just to do this job. My second part of this is what vinyl would be the best to do it with? I normally use only 651 but this will be a customer that will give me a ton of repeat business if i do it good. Any help will be of great help. I will post a pic of what i am looking for. The side stripe mainly and over the hood.

The stripes would be easy to replicate yourself, and 651 is fine for glass and windows, but 751 or higher should be used on the body.

What I was going to say.

751 is good, but if I was you I would use 3M 1080. Nice to work with, (no transfer tape needed) it's made for the exterior of a car specifically. It is more expensive though. For things on car bodies that aren't advertising, I prefer to use 3M 1080 car wrap. Oracal wise I would go with 970RA paint alternative. 070M (black matte) would make some nice stripes.

Here's the lettering....

Stripe is the easy part. I would redraw and plot/cut the side stripe and do the hood with knifeless tape. I would also suggest Oracal 751 or 951 for the vinyl or even get the wrap grade...although 3M makes great everything don't buy their 1080 wrap vinyl. Lot's of quality control issues that need to be addressed before you "waste" your money on a junk roll of material. Get the Avery SW900 if you go with the wrap grade.
