may0024 0 Posted February 7, 2012 How would my friend cut directly from Corel X3 instead of using SignCut? She was designing in Corel, then exporting and cutting in SignCut, but her subscription to SignCut has expired. I use Cutting Master for my cutting program (different plotter obviously), and it cuts directly from Corel. Is there something similar that she can use? BearlyRich 167 Posted February 8, 2012 Since your Laserpoint is really a pcut in disguise: The Chinese pcut site does have a Corel-pcut plugin available. You lose some of the nicer functionality of cutting from better software such as SB, but it does seem to work. I have it installed but use SB myself. To use it effectively, you have to follow the instructions included (pdf file) to set it up. See here: http://www.pcut-cn.com/en/support/?type=14 They also now have a beta stage plugin for Illustrator in case any is interested... And; the Honk Kong Creation site also has a Corel plugin. I have not tried this one. The instructions seem to be in Chinese so I ahve no idea if the plugin works in English. Might be worth a try though.
