crazywear 0 Posted February 8, 2008 Is there any way to take a picture from the internet and be able 2 vinyl cut it ? 2 question i have some .007 paper and want to make a stencil. to do that i will have to cut all the way through the paper do i need a backing? If you can convert (called tracing) the jpg or gif file to a vector format like eps then yes, you can cut pictures from the internet. But you can not cut jpg and gif files, they must be converted to a vector format. If you are cuting all the way through the paper for a stencil, then you will need some sort of backing to keep from damaging the cutting strip on the plotter.
