Mh721 offline button and pen force selection not working

Mh721 offline button and pen force selection not working. I can't set the pen force, it just stays on 00. Also can't go to "offline". Everything else seems to be working. Any ideas?

Bad control panel, or loose wiring would be my first guesses. Could be wiring to the control panel itself, or to the motherboard. Also could be the motherboard shorting out if the pegs that hold her in place have snapped.
