just wondering the ballpark pricing for say, a work van. like whats the norm for stroked lettering on 2 sides and back 2 windows.

That's a very empty question, How many square feet of material? What type of van? Is the registration of the characters simple (Arial, etc.) or difficult (Scripts, etc.)? Also, Is the vinyl stacked or outlined?

I just did A similar job for a good friend last week with graphics I designed and 1 color easy weeding lettering with about 50 sq. ft. total work.

Charged him $200 But it would have been $400 for a regular.
