I thought it was legit being US CUTTER ADMIN...but then AFTER I flled out all my personal info. and started getting a bunch of text msgs... and emails...I never got to enter to win anything...they just tried to get me to sign up for stuff. midwaste 4 Posted July 7, 2011 This has nothing to do with USCutter. You should change your profile settings so that your email is only visible to Admin and Mods. Member in question has been banned. I am looking into changing how member validation works. I am only one person( and the only active mod/admin) and I DO SLEEP occasionally. Meanwhile, just use common sense, just like you would if you got a suspicious email from anywhere else. anyone else get taken by this who isn't a newbee to the board? I didn't fall for it though as I just read the info on the first page of that referred site and realized that no legit company would pull something like that. You have to purchase something with the credit card info you supply in order to qualify? Yeah, right... But, whay was the admin name even allowed for registration. All such names are usually either pre-registered by the owners of forums or locked out so this can't happen. It's either a scammer, or a telemarketing firm trying to sell you something, or scam you out of your CC info.
