WinPCSign Pro 2010

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

Has anyone used or is currently using WinPCSign Pro 2010? What do you think of this program? I have been playing around with it. Guess I have to, as this is the software that came with my plotter. It came with a training DVD, but I find it hard to navigate and it seems pretty juvenille. Is there a better software program out there that I should use instead, and if so, what is it? Now a stupid question, but a question none the less. Do I have to purchase Illustrator to be able to open vector files? Can you tell that I very new to all of this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been using WinPCsign software for 8yrs now.

It`s easyer and faster than Corel or Illustrator.

Anything that can be done in Corel or Illustrator I can do

with WinPCsign twice as fast and just as good.

The only thing I don`t like is the Vectorizing in WinPCsign.

But I use another program for vectorizing, then node edit

in WinPCsign,

Thank you sooo much for the speedy reply. What would I use Illustrator for? Do you have any sites that I could visit to learn WinPCSign? I have cut a few things, which turned out great, but I have a long learning curve ahead of me. What program do you use for vectorizing? Thanks again for your time.

I have used Corel and Illustrator longer than WinPCsign.

I use Illustrator and Cutting Master to run my Graphtec cutter.

Flexisign Pro for vectorizing.

You`ll find different software can do different things better than the other.

Signmax is a web site that has a lot of videos.

I learned all my software by working with them.

When I first started there were no videos.

I have always said and believe learn your software first then go into business.

I doubt that one software is twice as fast as the other....It is probably more a case of how skilled the user is in using a particular piece of software that makes him faster on one piece of software versus another.

Yeah , I am sure he was speaking of him being more familiar with that software . I was geting pretty familiar with InkScape when SignBlazer came avaialble thru USCutter . It was SUPER easy to adapt to it . Now trying any other software out now like Flexi , is somewhat like learning another launguage . I know after learning the specifics & names the stuff is called , I would be 100 times faster with that software .

Thank you so much for all the information. I agree with you regarding learning the software first, then go into business. Lots to learn and looking forward to every second! Much thanks again...

In reality one software package can run twice as fast as another, and on the same machine.

Has to do with the language it was written in and how good the programmers are...

Take windows for example, the worse written pos out there, patched and hacked since 95, it can bring quad core computers to their knees! ;)
