Help with an ink question

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I know it is good to use pigment ink for t-shirt transfers. I also see that many places sell universal inks and some them sell it as pigment I believe? Is this universal ink ok for a t-shirt transfer? Thank you much

Sorry, yes, it does. It's alot more costly than pigment though, a good ciss will work better imo.

Make sure you are using a high quality paper as well, like SIHL

Hope this helps

There are a lot of aftermarket ink out there that are pigment ink, depending on what printer you use. If you use an Epson printer, chances are, you can get your ink through cobraink. Lots of members on this forum use them with great success for t-shirt transfers.

I'd be careful when it just say "universal" because it doesn't specify if it's dye or pigment, and dye ink has a tendency to fade after washing.
