Vinyl not feeding well at all, cutting starts in the center?

Recommended Posts

I am new at this so please excuse my ignorance.  I have read many posts in trying to get my cutter to work correctly.  The vinyl will not feed through correctly, it bunches up every time I try.

Does the cutter have to start cutting from the center? What can I change to have it start elsewhere?

Any basic advice would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Katie

Some tips

When laying your vinyl in make sure the pinch rollers are lined up at the marks on the rails, (mine was little blue stickers) gotta make sure the rollers dont rest on the wrong place because some areas dont roll.

For the alignment, Put the cutter in offline mode and use the arrows to move the carriage to the right side once you have the vinyl and carriage in the starting point you want press the center "crosshairs" button to set the new origin point, put the cuter back online and your good to go!

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much.  I finally got one good cut.  I really appreciate the crosshairs advice.  My other problem was my blade cutting depth...way too deep.  Thanks again.

Once again, go in the offline mode. Then hit the mode button. Now UPI can change your speed, depth, and a few other things. Once you have everything the way you like it, hit the same button that takes you offline to restart the cutter online... And try a best cut.
