offset shadow..

Recommended Posts

Hiya

Could someone remind me how to create this shadow effect.

it's been a while and i've forgotten

the shadow behind is just a copy of the text but has been erased

where the top text covers it and then the top text is slightly

shifted up and left to show a small gap between the two.

Many thanks

Rich

Don't know about shadowing that one. I would copy the text then increase the original by 5 to 10 percent then paste the copy put a 2 or 3 pt. white stroke around it and shift it manually.

:D

Here's how to do this......Duplicate your text, then place and offset behind the original text. Now select the original text which is on top. Create an outline that equals the spacing between the text and shadow. Now convert this outline to an object CTRL-SFT-Q. Now you can subtract this new outline object from the text you placed in back by selecting just the outline and the back text. (arrange shaping back-minus-front). Bingo
